Research at Oklahoma OncologyIn the past 30 years, research focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer has revolutionized what we know about cancer and how it can be treated.
Through its affiliation with the Saint Francis Health System's Natalie Warren Bryant Cancer Center and the LaFortune Cancer Center at St. John Medical Center, Oklahoma Oncology participates in the Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), which is funded by a grant from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to the Warren Cancer Research Foundation. This CCOP is one of only 50 in the nation. The physicians of Oklahoma Oncology are credentialed to offer the patients of eastern Oklahoma cutting-edge clinical trials for a variety of cancer types at all practice locations.
At any one time, there are approximately 60 NCI research protocols available. Our oncologists also utilize protocols from the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG), M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project, the Gynecologic Oncology Group, the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and the pharmaceutical industry. If you would like more information about the specific trials in which Oklahoma Oncology is participating, you may e-mail us, or contact us at (918)744-3180.
